Rebuilding of flood-affected school
In June 2024, the Maggia Valley in Switzerland was hit by a severe storm and torrential rain. This resulted in flooding and landslides. Roads and buildings were destroyed and several people lost their lives.

Help for school
This was a hard blow for a small municipality. In addition to the roads and infrastructure being affected, the local school was also damaged. To help, the IDUNA Foundation, in close collaboration with the local community, has contributed to the reconstruction of the school building, the dining hall and the common room so that the school can once again function effectively. The work is expected to be completed sometime in the summer of 2025.
